anon has to admit: realizing that the english va came back for the role of alvis was a highlight for them during their playthrough
I do have to say I didn’t think they’d be able to get this one, so that’s good.

Ew MMORPGs. No thanks, I don’t have time to put into that sort of thing.
Two asks by one anon about Future Redeemed spoilers under the cut:

Hey there! It's been a while since my last ask but I wanted to let you know I'm currently working on my fic that was inspired by Alternate Goddess, so thank you again for the inspiration!
I also have a Xenoblade 1 question related to a small thing in my draft I'd like to ask: where did Mumkhar live before the Battle of Sword Valley? I know a Heart-to-Heart mentions that he came from a long-destroyed unnamed (unnumbered?) colony. But the "originally came from" and "destroyed long ago" quotes gives me the impression he was either just born there or only grew up there for a small time, and after it got raided the survivors were taken in as refugees by other colonies. Since he was close war comrades with Dunban and Dickson it makes me feel like he went to live at Colony 9 and became part of their Defence Force. But it's also possible the Battle of Sword Valley was a mass group effort by all the Homs around at the time who just pooled all their forces together for the best shot at winning, so Mumkhar could have also been taken in by 6. What are your thoughts on it?
Canon doesn’t give us anything aside from what you brought up. I would presume that Mumkhar’s been living in Colony 9 rather than Colony 6, mostly because that’s where the Monado has been and that’s what he’s about. It also doesn’t seem very convenient to travel between the two colonies, so for them to live in different places most of the time wouldn’t make a whole lot of sense for them being a war buddies trio.

thoughts on future redeemed now that its out??
The gameplay is fine, about what I expected overall.
I don’t like how they handled the plot. (spoilers below)

As someone who loves Xenoblade 1 a lot but isn't really happy with the sci-fi/more-generic-JRPG-esque direction the series has gone in since 2, and since you kinda give off a vibe that you feel similarly, I'm wondering if you think 3 is worth playing?
I find this an odd take. True, the sci-fi parts have gotten more blatant in each game, but I wouldn’t call any of it “more generic JRPG”, outside of maybe how XC3’s world is just a landmass rather than a bunch of landmass-sized creatures. So I’d say whether XC3 is “worth playing” is external to this.

they did it, they made 40 (?) year old shulk
science has gone too far
It has come to my attention that tumblr has secretly removed the ability for people without accounts to use the ask feature. I’m going to find some other site that allows it.

do high entia lay eggs (april fools ask)
No, but they tell Homs they do in order to get rid of them.

what are your thoughts on people who ship melia and nia together based on what happened in 3
Well I don’t agree with it - it feels pretty artificial - but it’s not problematic enough for me to care.
